I also found that a windows update was available, installed it, and that didn't fix it either. I updated my graphics drivers recently to the "optional" version, but going back to the recommended version didn't fix the problem. When the game runs long enough (10-40mins), or I alt-tab, the game AND ONLY this game causes.
